The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) consists of a collaborating group of over 250 of the world’s leading consumer electronics, mobile device and PC manufacturers. DLNA certified products are designed to allow you to share digital content over a network regardless of which brand you may be using. DLNA certified devices will connect, discover and communicate with each other over a network.

DLNA member companies have been meeting regularly since 2003 to collaborate, share views and further the DLNA Interoperability Guidelines in consideration of new consumer needs, user scenarios and technologies. DLNA member companies use open standards and widely available industry specifications to create compatible, new consumer electronics products.
Using DLNA certified products minimizes the effort required for digital asset sharing. For example, you would only need to upload your latest photos from your digital camera to your desktop PC or network attached storage (NAS) once for the flexibility to share them with friends using your DLNA certified HDTV, notebook PC, netbook, mobile phone or PDA.
