As it will be a personal accessory, WD have given the Passport a stylish rounded corner shape which is available in black, white, metallic red, green and metallic pink. A good range of HDD capacities from 60GB to 320GB are available. The WD Passport’s Scorpio SATA HDD drive spins at a healthy 5400RMP for quick data retrieval.
It’s not only about the hardware. WD Passport comes with WDSync software for secure access, editing, sharing of files. When connected to a computer, WDSync synchronizes all your files so that you have a backup of all your files. For security all files are saved with 128-bit encryption.
Passport is compatible with both Windows and Mac computers. For Windows users, Western Digital have included Google’s free software package to help with searching and managing your files. Well know applications include Google Desktop Search and the Picasa photo organizer.
